By the end of this hands-on course, you’ll have created a fully finished prop—from initial foam sculpting, fabrication, and professional painting—ready for display for your cosplay costume or Halloween. By the end of this workshop, you will have created a Cthulhu tentacle and picked up valuable skills you can bring to future projects.

Meet the Professor

Erick Rodriguez is the real deal. Within the span of 15 years of working professionally in the industry and 29 years of artistic knowledge has all led to him being very fortunate enough have worked on big titles such as Guardians of the Galaxy, Hunger Games, Star Trek Beyond, Spiderman and many more. He finds joy in passing on his skills and knowledge to the next generation of cosplayers and creatives.

Foam Mart is the one-stop shop for all your foam needs. Located in the heart of the media district, we meet amazing creators every day. From bulk styrofoam orders for studio projects, to eva L200 foam of everyday creators, we have a special place in our hearts for creatives. Our resident cosplayer, Li, is able to work on some of his projects during slow hours and has some of his costumes on display in the store. Having attended the 2026 Monsterpalooza show, Foam Mart is looking to connect with more cosplayers and creatives in the area.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations with full reimbursements are offered up to 48 hours before the workshop (October 14, 2026 is the last day to cancel and get your money back). However this workshop is going to be so epic, you won't want to miss it!

What do I get from this workshop?
